Mission Project – Waverly, Iowa Community VBS

2019 Mission Project

For our 2019 VBS Mission Project we will be collecting funds to fill the Blessing Boxes VBS has placed in the Waverly community to provide food for those in need. Our goal is $1,000. Offerings will be collected each night of VBS with some friendly competitions. Thank you for helping us bless our community!

UPDATE: We exceeded our goal and raised $1,018.27 to buy groceries to fill the Blessing Boxes!

2018 Mission Project

For our 2018 Mission Project, Waverly Community VBS raised $1,233 to Feed Our Community by contributing $600 to the Waverly Community Gardens to build additional raised garden beds and $633 to stock the VBS Blessing Boxes placed around Waverly to help those who need some emergency food.

2017 Mission Project

We are pleased to announce our 2017 VBS Mission Project! This year we will be raising money to place Blessing Boxes around the Waverly and Shell Rock communities. These boxes will be stocked with non-perishable food items, paper products, and personal care items that will be free for people who find themselves in need.

Our goal is to place 5 boxes for $200 each. Any additional funds will be used to keep the boxes stocked throughout the year. Offerings will be collected each night of VBS with some friendly competition.
